Short History
The Italian Psychoanalytical Association (A.I.Psi.) was founded in 1992 mainly by senior analysts of Italian Psychoanalytical Society (SPI), as a result of a split within the SPI for ethical and institutional reasons.

Training Institute
The Italian Psychoanalytical Association follows the Eitingon tripartite training model: training analysis, clinical and theoretical seminars and supervisions.

The end of the training with Italian Psychoanalytical Association authorizes also the practice of psychotherapy according to Italian regulations.
Essential and fundamental prerequisite of training is the acquisition of an emotional competence in the practice of psychoanalysis.
Our aim has been to build a Training Institute capable of providing students with a broad and integrated learning path in the theoretical and clinical aspects to which all the teachers and even motivated members contribute to the best of their energies and skills.

Monthly training seminars for members, Clinical psychoanalytical courses for professionals in training, theoretical and clinical seminars for members and outsiders.

Cooperations with other Institutions, Universities, etc.
A collaboration agreement for training and research activities are carried out with the University “La Sapienza” Rome, Department of Psychology, and the University of Perugia Department of Philosophy, Psychology, Social Human and Training Sciences.
Free seminars are open for undergraduates in Psychology of both the Universities.
