8 - 10 October 2021

Delivered via Zoom

Book now for our upcoming English Speaking weekend conference. Inspired by the centenary of the publication of Freud’s “Beyond the Pleasure Principle” which introduced the idea of the “compulsion to repeat”, this conference (postponed from Autumn 2020 due to Covid-19) revisits ‘Action’ and its connection -or disconnection- to the Mind. The speakers will explore a variety of clinical experiences, where Action -and not exclusively acting out- is paramount. Action and its relation to and the movement toward representation and thinking will be examined in psychoanalytic work with adults and children.

In each of three moderated panels, two speakers will present their clinical work and theoretical ideas followed by a dialogue with each other and with the audience. There will be an open final plenary exchange between the speakers and the audience.

Optional clinical seminars are held on the Friday evening at an additional cost to the main weekend conference. Should you wish to attend a clinical seminar, please indicate your preferred options during the registration process.

Please note: Requirements for registering for conference are listed on the website at the below link, please ensure you meet these before booking.
