Short History
In 1997, the Croatian Psychoanalytical Study Group was formed, and in 2004, it was accepted as a study group by the International Psychoanalytical Association (IPA). Over the years, the society grew in membership and established collaborations with other psychoanalytic societies worldwide. In 2017, it attained the status of an IPA Component Society.
Today, the Croatian Psychoanalytical Society consists of IPA members, training analysts, candidates, and analysands from three countries: Croatia, Slovenia and Bosnia and Herzegovina They actively organize various activities and events, including clinical seminars, discussions, film evenings, and public conferences. The society aims to further develop the quality of its training program and establish psychoanalysis as a recognized and important discipline in Croatian culture and society.
